Admission is closed
New opportunities will open soon — stay connected with us.
In our school, students study from grades 1 to 8.
Every year we enroll a full parallel of first-grade classes.
If places become available in grades 2–8, we conduct additional enrollment.
*Entrance examinations for grades 5–8 are held throughout the school year, regardless of the number of places in the parallel. If there are no available places, students are placed on a reserve list.
To learn more about the admission process, please select the grade you are interested in.
Registration for participation in the Grade 1 admission campaign for the 2025–2026 academic year is closed.
Children who will be at least 7 years old and no older than 8 years on September 1, 2025 may take part in the entrance examinations.
We conduct entrance examinations to assess the child’s emotional, intellectual, and social readiness for school.
We do not test reading, writing, counting skills, or knowledge of foreign languages.
We do not provide comments on the results of the entrance examinations. We kindly ask parents to respect and accept any outcome. Our goal is not to select the most talented children, but rather to give the opportunity to study at our school to those for whom it will be both interesting and comfortable in our environment.
It is important to us that the values of the family and the school align. That is why we maintain communication with families not only during the interview but throughout the entire admission campaign.
Please note: the involvement of educational consultants or agencies does not help in this process and may even interfere. Therefore, we communicate only with parents or the child’s legal guardians.
📌 Registration is open until 23:59 on May 31, 2025.
Admission Stages1. Introduction and Group Diagnostic
The introduction is an important step in building any relationship. At this stage, we present the features of primary education at Horizon School, explain the entrance examinations, answer parents’ questions, and provide an opportunity to meet the school leadership.
This stage is purely introductory and does not affect the results of the following steps. However, it is mandatory for all families, except those whose children are already studying or have previously studied at Horizon School. In such cases, the presence of just one parent is sufficient.
Admission to Grade 1 is not easy — in fact, it is more challenging than enrolling students in middle or high school. At this stage, we aim to understand how well the child and the school fit together, and whether the child will feel comfortable in our environment.
We use a comprehensive methodology to assess the child’s readiness for school.
During the group diagnostic, we look at writing, reading, and counting abilities, as well as the development of the child’s nervous system, graphomotor skills, work pace and stamina, creativity, ability to follow instructions, concentration, and other indicators of development.
2. Interview with a Psychologist
This stage takes place individually at school.
The child is invited to complete tasks in a playful format.
Through these activities, the psychologist evaluates the child’s ability to plan and check their actions, analyze conditions and reason, navigate space, concentrate, switch attention, develop motor skills, and adapt from one task to another.
3. Interview with Parents and Child
The final stage of the admission process is a family interview. The presence of both parents (or legal guardians) is mandatory if both are involved in the child’s upbringing.
The goal of this stage is to align the positions of the parents and the school regarding education and upbringing, and to determine whether the school environment matches the expectations and requests of the family. We consider shared values between family and school as a necessary condition for the child’s harmonious development and best achievements.
After the third stage, we analyze the results of all entrance examinations and make a final decision. Parents will be informed no later than June 1, 2025.
If a place becomes available during the school year, we invite a child from the reserve list.
Please note: we do not provide detailed feedback on the stages of the entrance process and do not comment on results.
